Lt Gen Sam Kavuma, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wazalendo SACCO, has carried out an inspection of several road construction projects currently being managed by Wazalendo Investments (SMC) Ltd (WIL), the business arm of the SACCO.
Accompanied by the WIL Managing Director, Lt Col Wesley Aine, Gen Kavuma toured the ongoing works on the Lugoba and Kazo roads in Nansana, as well as the Nakayenga and Kibutika roads in Makindye Ssabagabo, where he observed the progress of the projects first-hand.
Wazalendo Investments staff praised for quality road construction
Following the site visits, Gen Kavuma held a meeting with WIL staff, during which he commended them for their exceptional service delivery and the high quality of their work. He emphasized that WIL was established to generate sustainable value for the SACCO’s membership, and he pledged the Board’s continued support to help the company achieve its strategic objectives.
Appreciation to communities
Gen Kavuma also expressed his gratitude to the communities for partnering with WIL in the course of its work. He noted that a strong relationship with the public remains a cornerstone of the success of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF).
In response, Lt Col Aine thanked the Board for its guidance and urged his team to remain dedicated to their work, reminding them that their hard work directly drives the growth of the SACCO.
